After several months of complaining about the dosage getting smaller on medicine bottles and not being able to read at night, I decided it's time to have my eyes checked again and yes, I do need glasses !!
It's taking a bit of getting used to but my goodness, it makes the words jump off the pages and I can read for more than a few minutes before my eyes get tired.
Any how, I think they are quite spunky looking and they don't make me look any more intelligent.

Casey's dance group
The dance concert for 2012 had a theme of "pirates" so it looked fantastic when all 30-something students were on stage for the finale. Casey had three dances to perform this year and the first one was a style called "locking" - sorry no pics for that. But it's a bit of street style dance that was taught to them by a backpacking barmaid from Estonia called Britta.
It was another great night and Miss Amanda does a great job of pulling it all together for a wonderful performance in a little country town.

Last weekend was the junior sports windup in town and the Lane kids did really well. Casey won Most Improved for D grade netball as well as collecting "participation" medal for minkey hockey & nippers footy. Kyle won R/up Fairest & Best for nippers footy. So proud of our kids !! They must take after their mother on the sporting field coz I won Most Consistant in hockey - I think that means I turn up every week!!
The Perenjori Show is always a great day out with the kids. It's free for them to get in and all the rides are free too. It still has all the aspects of an old fashioned country show with produce and craft display, arts & photography and local school kids work on show. There's a feral bike comp and a pet parade, baby farm animals to cuddle, family interest tent and evening entertainment. Oh... and fireworks if you stay long enough. It makes for a very LONG day but still really fun.

9 bathroom scales that show how much you would weigh on another planet -
I only weigh 4.5 kg on Jupiter !!
You get to carry up a water filled balloon then drop it down the chute to see how gravity works - amazingly it fell to earth and splattered on the sand pit below.
Kerrr -splat !!
On the way to Dandaragan, we stopped at the Gravity Discovery Centre and had a great time. It's like a mini Scitech in the middle of the bush. Besides the science side of the centre, it's a nature reserve with some short walking trails and a 1 km walk where you travel the solar system but on a much smaller scale - each step equals about 6 million kilometers in reality. We were only planning on spending an hour but ended up spending two and still didn't get to see everything! Well worth the drive up the Brand Highway for a great experience.
Some of the action.
Great day out with the kids on Saturday at the West Perth v South Fremantle WAFL match at Fremantle Oval. Ran into Mark Le Cras in the car park so I had to ask him to sign Kyle's footy - happy to oblige. Then Kyle went and got brother Brent's autograph after the match so now that footy is pretty special.
